Terms and Conditions
Purchase of prescription medications
- Post Pet Meds is able to dispense restricted veterinary medications (veterinary prescription medications) to persons in New Zealand with a valid veterinary prescription. We have been approved to do so by the Ministry for Primary Industries (MPI). In order to fill and dispatch your pet’s prescription medication our licensed veterinarian must first receive and view the original prescription sent to us by mail or directly by your pet’s veterinarian. We are required to keep the prescription on record in the event of audits and to facilitate repeat prescriptions where applicable.
- Post Pet Meds guarantees that all medicines we dispense have been sourced from reputable New Zealand Veterinary wholesalers and are of the same quality you would expect in a physical store.
- The restricted veterinary medicines available for sale on our website have been registered with the New Zealand Government under the Agricultural Compound and Veterinary Medicines (ACVM) act 1997.
- To fulfil a prescription medications order, you will be required to make a user account on the Post Pet Meds website.
- The customer is responsible for making sure that their contact and delivery details are up to date. This can be done by logging into your account. If you have any issues with updating your details, please contact us via email at info@postpetmeds.co.nz or call us at 0274912524.
- We use “signature required” delivery for pet prescription medications.
- Post Pet Meds is unable to make a prescription for your pet as our veterinarian has not personally examined your pet.

- Some medications can only be dispensed in units/ amounts/ quantity as packaged in the box or bottle by the manufacturer (for example liquid medications are sold per bottle not per ml whereas other items can be sold per tablet / capsule). This detail will be noted next to the product on our website. Please notify your veterinarian of this when requesting your prescription.
- Post Pet Meds has a prescription form template available to download and use if needed (Click here). However, your veterinarian will likely have their own prescription form they normally use.
