What are the shipping costs?

 

Shipping charges for non-prescription items

Urban $ 7.50

Rural $ 10. 50

 

Prescription medications shipping cost

Urban $ 15.00 

Rural $20.00

 

Shipping charges are calculated and added at checkout. Please select the shipping option that best applies to your location or order.
Choosing the incorrect shipping option may result in delivery delays.

Extra shipping charges may apply for bulk and oversized items as determined by Post Pet Meds

 

 

Where do we ship to?

We ship to New Zealand South and North islands physical addresses. Unfortunately, We are unable to offer shipping to outer island regions at this time (Waiheke, Great Barrier Island, Stewart Island, Chatham Island)

We do not ship internationally.

We are unable to ship to Private bags, PO Box addresses, parcel lockers.

 

What if a customer entered the wrong delivery address?

Please contact us as soon as possible so we can try to change the delivery address before your order is shipped and scanned into the courier system. If it has already been shipped, we can contact the courier to try retrieve your order. This is sometimes not possible. Please note that additional charges may apply

Auto-Ship is a convenient feature that lets you have your favourite items delivered automatically on a schedule that suits you. No need to reorder each time—just set it and forget it!

This service is available for eligible products like food, treats, supplements, and flea & worm preventatives.

How Do I Pay for Auto-Ship?

Auto-Ship orders are paid securely using a credit or debit card. Your card will be automatically charged via our trusted payment provider, Stripe, just before each shipment is sent.

Please note:

  • Afterpay, POLi, and direct debits are not supported for Auto-Ship orders.

  • These payment methods are still available for one-time purchases.

  • Afterpay is not available for prescription medications.

Can I just order items once?

Yes. You can use guest check out to make single time purchases as many times as you like.

 

Do I need to make an account?

No. You can make single time purchases using guest checkout at any time or as many times as you like.

However, some services such as auto-ship or pet prescription medication orders require you to make an account to fulfill your order. Creating an account gives you control over selecting your order frequency, updating mailing information, payment information or cancellation. If you have any questions or need help with your autoship subscription please do not hesitate to contact us.

How can change the item/ type of item, frequency  on my autoship orders after I created a subscription?

If you would like to keep the autoship function but change the frequency of an order, product ( for example flavour of foods, weight bracket for a flea treatment) the best way to do this is to cancel the original autoship subscription and create a new one for the desired product. 

 

How can I cancel my order?

Contact us as soon as possible so we can try to stop the order from being shipped. Please note that some items get shipped from warehouse facilities. If your order was already scanned into the courier service, it is the customer's responsibility to return the item and pay for return shipping costs.

Please review items in the cart before final check out to ensure they are correct.

 

When Will My Order Arrive?

We aim to dispatch all orders within 24–48 hours of receiving them, Monday to Friday (excluding public holidays).
Orders placed on weekends or public holidays will be processed on the next business day.
Please note: Weekend shipping is not available.

Estimated Delivery Times (after dispatch):

  • Urban areas: 1–2 business days

  • Rural areas: 2–3 business days

For pet prescription medications, processing times may vary. Please refer to our Pet Prescriptions page for specific details.

While we always do our best to meet these timeframes, occasional delays may occur due to unforeseen circumstances or during peak periods (e.g. Christmas and New Year).

Post Pet Meds does not store any of your payment details. All sensitive information is handled securely by our payment partners.

Please note: Some payment options may not be available for certain products or services due to provider-specific policies.

Do you have click and collect?

We do not have a click and collect store opened to the public at this time.

 

We are an online business but will  look into this in the future.

 

Returns, Exchange and Refunds policy.

 

At Post Pet Meds we aim for customer satisfaction and happy pets. Please read our Returns, Exchange and Refunds policy carefully

Please choose carefully and review items in cart before final check out as we do not refund unless your item/s are faulty.

 

Post Pet Meds cannot offer refunds, exchange, or returns on certain items (including due to change of mind) .  Please see details below:

 

Products that cannot be returned to Post Pet Meds or refunded:

  • Pet Food ( opened and unopened)
  • treats
  • perishable items
  • Items that require storage at specific temperatures
  • supplements
  • sale items
  • Products not in original , resale conditions
  • over the counter pet medications
  • Items marked as non-returnable

 

 

Post Pet Meds reserved the absolute right to determine if items meet resale condition.

Customers are responsible for bearing costs associated with shipping returned items ( except in cases of faulty or defective items)

 

Faulty/ defective  products:

Please contact us via email within 7 days of receipt of your order. Email info@postpetmends.co.nz

Please include the order number and invoice in your email.

 

We are happy to accept returns of eligible products provided that they are returned within 30 days of purchase and are in original packing and unused condition.

Please note that veterinary prescription medications cannot be returned or refunded in accordance with ACVM regulations.

Returns Policy

We want you to be happy with your purchase. If you need to return an item, please follow the guidelines below:

  • Returns must be received within 30 days of the purchase date.

  • Please include a copy of your receipt with the returned item(s).

  • Items must be clean, unused, in good condition, and in the original packaging—free of fur and damage.

  • Original shipping charges are non-refundable.

  • Customers are responsible for return shipping costs, unless the return is due to our error (e.g. wrong item sent or defective product).

  • Be sure to package the item securely, similar to how it was delivered, to prevent damage during return transit.

Refunds Policy

If you're requesting a refund, please note the following conditions:

  • A 20% restocking fee may apply.

  • Shipping, credit card, processing, banking, and administrative fees are non-refundable.

  • Items must be clean, unused, in good condition, and in their original packaging to be eligible for a refund.

Once your returned item has been received and inspected, we’ll send you an email to confirm the outcome.
If your refund is approved, the amount will be credited back to your original method of payment.

Please allow up to 14 business days for the refund to appear in your account, depending on your bank or card provider.

In the case of a defective item, a replacement or refund can be arranged on receipt of the returned item.
